VFB on Telemundo

Check out the latest interview I did for Telemundo, a spanish TV station. I shared some tips on what to wear for their fashion segment "What to Wear if You Have Curves." Although it's in Spanish I thought you still might enjoy. Click here to view the clip.

Steal her Look: Lauren Conrad

Don't you love it when celebs wear clothes you can actually afford and it's not thousands of dollars. Lauren Conrad wore this Urban Outfitters top (only $39.99) and Elizabeth and James black shorts to promote her new book L.A. Candy. Here's where you can steal her look for less and get the same top she wore.

Ecote Silk Top, Urban Outfitters, $39.99(Same Top and on sale! )
Black Shorts, Arden B, $38 (You can also find them even cheaper at Forever 21 for about $13)
Black Pumps, Yoox, $49

Gold Chain Sandals

Check out these adorable sandals my co-worker just bought on Shop-A-Matic. In case you're not familiar with them, it's a shopping page on NY Mag that hunts for the best items in the city. They have everything from shoes, clothes, wedding dresses, furniture--you name it they have it. Almost all of the items can be purchased online. These sandals are from Fred Flare, a boutique in Brooklyn. I love the black and gold combination. You can buy them online for $28.

Take Your Dog To Work Day

Today was "Take Your Dog to Work Day." My co-workers and I were really ecstatic that we got to bring our dogs. I just had to share with you this picture of my co-workers shih tzu "Maxwell". Doesn't he look so cute with his tie...very work appropriate I must add. To the right is my own doggy "Scrappy." I actually barricaded him in my cubicle with this baby gate. Did you take your dog to work today?

Michael Jackson: Fashion Icon

From his embellished jackets, to the fedora to his signature glove, there is no doubt that Michael Jackson was a fashion icon that influenced an entire generation. I think we were all in shock when we found out he passed away. Here is a look back at his style.

Here is Jackson wearing a white crystal glove during a performance of Billie Jean back in 1983.
His style beamed impersonators all over the world. Children around the U.S. even wore a single white glove to school. One school in particular (Bound Brooke High School) even banned students from wearing the glove after so many students were wearing it to school.

Who can forget Jackson's embellished military jackets. This look recently hit the catwalk at Balmain's Spring 09' Collection. You might even remember Beyonce wearing this Balmain embellished jacket.

Jackson's infamous red leather jacket, which we first saw in his Beat It video, then again for Thriller was all the craze in the 80's.

Here is Jackson with Madonna with matching outfits at the 1991 Oscars.

Jackson was always a fashion risk taker. Here he is recently wearing a women's jacket from the Givency autumn/winter 2008-09 collection.

Remembering Farah Fawcett

We are really sad to say that Farrah Fawcett passed away this morning after her long battle with cancer at the age of 62. Here is a look back at some of her timeless style. She will be missed.

Free Personal Stylist: Covet.com

Having a personal stylist would make our lives so much more easier in the morning...don't cha think? Well, over at FabSugar I was introduced to a new website called Covet.com. Have you heard of it? It's actually pretty cool. The way it works is you first chose from a series of photos of different outfits worn by celebrities. Once it determines your style you pick your shoe size, dress size...etc. Then they email you shopping suggestions based on your style. They also tell you, which celebrity style you resemble most. I just tried it and it described my style as eclectic. What's yours?

Swimsuit Shopping Guide: Large Bust

Here are some tips for finding the perfect bathing suit for a large bust:

*I have 3 words---Support, Support, Support. Be sure to pick a top that has plenty of it. You don't want to come out of the water and find that your bathing suit top did not make it up with you. A halter top is a great option because it helps hold a large bust in place.

*Another good option, aside from the halter top is a top that has a built-in bra or under wire.

*If you’re wearing a bikini, opt for a bold print in the bottom, this will help draw the eyes to your lower half instead of your top.

*Stay away from strapless tops, which will give you no support and also high necklines.

Here are some bathing suits to consider:

Nina Swimwear has various halter tops like this "James Onda Tierra" bathing suit. She has a full range of unique and stylish bathing suits for all body types. You can check out all of her bathing suits here.

This Bondi Beach Bikini by Freya has an under wire bikini top with fully adjustable straps. Freya’s is perfect for full-busted gals since sizes start at a D cup to an HH cup.

This Tommy Bahama halter tankini has a surplice bodice and ties around the neck. It comes in light peach, blue, pink and black.

Best Bronzer: SmashBox Bronze Lights

Summer is officially here..wohoo! And if you want to get that sunkissed glow, without ever hitting the sun, then you should try Smashbox's Bronze Lights Bronzer. This is my new favorite thing. I got it in the Suntan Matte shade. It looks very natural on. It also doesn't have shimmer, which is perfect because sometimes too much shimmer can make you look oily. Smashbox also has this cool product called Photo Finish, which you can apply before your make-up to make it last longer. You guys should check it out.

Emma Watson is all grown up. Here are some pics of her cover-shoot with Teen Vogue. Doesn't she look gorgeous? Anywho, here's what she had to say about her personal style and taking fashion risks:

On her personal style:
"I'm young, so I'm still experimenting. But I think [my style] is quite British and very much about individuality."

On taking fashion risks:
"There's nothing interesting about looking perfect—you lose the point. You want what you're wearing to say something about you, about who you are."

Jimmy Choo Brings Glamour to H & M

This just in... Jimmy Choo is bringing its covetable shoes and bags to H & M stores. Plus, it's also bringing women's clothing to match the accessories. This is the first time H & M is collaborating with an accessories brand and we couldn't be any more excited about the partnership.

Here's what the President of Jimmy Choo had to say: "We are privileged to be among the fashion greats who have been affiliated with H&M so far, and to be designing a collection appealing to fashion savvy, street smart women, and to be including some great pieces for men, too. Jimmy Choo will bring to H&M a sophisticated, fashion forward, accessible and glamorous collection - the perfect party pieces to buy now and then wear out that night!” Tamara Mellon, Founder and President, Jimmy Choo. The collection is said to launch November 14th in 200 H & M stores.

Trend Alert: Orange the New Red

Designer Carolina Herrera is calling Orange the new Red. That's what she told journalists after her resort fashion show a couple of weeks ago. We've been seeing this bold bright color popping up everywhere from model Miranda Keer to Ashley Olsen. Orange can sometimes be a little tough to pull off. If you have pale skin, wearing orange close to your face such as a top might make you look washed out, so try wearing it in an accessory such as a belt or shoes. If you have olive skin tones almost every shade of orange will look nice, but a warm burnt orange will look really nice against your complexion. Also, when wearing orange pair it up with neutral colors such as khaki.

Here are some ways to add orange to your wadrobe:

1. BB Dakota Dress, Chick Downtown, $48
2. Orange Dreamcatcher Earrings, Torrid, $10
3. Orange Top, Delia's, $14.99
4. Belt, Talbolts, $14.99
5. Nine West T-Strap Shoes, Amazon
6. Braided Chiffon Top, Charlotte Russe, $19.99

Swimsuit Shopping Guide: Small Bust

Finding the perfect bathing suit when you have a small bust can sometimes be challenging. I was one of those late bloomers, so while my friends in high school already had GINORMOUS Boobies... I had the chest of an 11-year old boy...I wish I were kidding. Anywho, I dreaded going to the beach because I knew my super duper padded Wonder Bra would not be coming with me.

After exploring different bathing suits, I finally found some tops that actually made my Negative A cup look a lot fuller. Luckily the boobies finally came with time--But here are some tips that helped bathing suit shopping for a small bust a lot easier:

* Look for bathing suit tops that are padded in a bandeau style. This style is perfect because it goes in a straight line so it hides the lack of cleavage.

* You can also try a top with ruffles, patterns or a push-up under wire top, this helps give the appearance of a fuller chest.

* If you don't want to go for a bikini you can also try a Tankini push-up top. Victoria Secret has some nice Tankini's that have a built in Miracle Bra.

* Try to stay away from triangle tops which only give the appearance of a smaller chest. *Unless it has ruffles*

Here are some swimsuits to consider:

J.Crew
Top: $30.08 (on sale)
Bottom: $30.08

Rosa Cha

This Brazilian fashion line always has unique styles, plus their quality of bathing suits are amazing. I'm really lovin' this bandeau top, especially the colors. You can check out their collection here.

Marc by Marc Jacobs Handbag

I loveeeee satchel handbags and I'm really lovin' this Marc by Marc Jacobs Strippy Zippy Groovee handbag. Best part is that it has double handles and also a long shoulder strap. It's on sale now for $349 (originally $498) at Barneys. They also have it in black, red and coral.

Creaseless Cream Eye Shadow

I recently came across this creaseless cream eye shadow by "Too Faced" called Lockdown. I had tried cream eye shadows before but hated that by the end of the day the eyeshadow had formed a crease on my eyelid--not cute. Well I tried it on yesterday for the first time and was pleasantly surprised, by the end of the night there was no crease in sight. I tried the pale pink, but it also comes in taupe, ivory, chocolate brown, teal blue, and soft pink. All the eye shadows also have a bit of shimmer. You can find it online at Too Faced.com for $18.50 or click here to find a store near you.

Steal Her Look: Ashley Tisdale

Ashley Tisdale wore this Urban Outfitters sweater as she grabbed some coffee in LA. Here's where you can steal her look for less:

Denim Shorts, Charlotte Russe, $24.99
Boots, Famous FootWear, $29.99

Fashion is frequently associated with heavy prices and non-affordability. Anyway, according to Coco Chanel, a fashion that does not reach the streets is not a fashion. Whiles some people are fantasying about great looks and stylish outfits, others try to find constructive ways to satisfy their fashion hunger. Their best helpers are sales, discounts and, of course, online shops. Authentic and genuine garments are much cheaper, if they are bought online. It is easily explained, because minimum is spent for running an online store.

Unlike regular stores, online shops owners do not pay rent, some kinds of taxes. They have access to shopaholics world-wide. All those factors allow selling fashion clothes from most reputable designers at competitive prices. That is why online clothing stores keep gaining their popularity. Those shops can be called the ones that are very good from the point of price/quality ratio. Moreover, often being multi-branded, online stores boast of an exceptionally wide choice of fashion garments. If you look at the virtual shop-windows or browse through the digital shelves of online stores, you will surely find something exceptional for yourself.

Anyway, having solved the problem of unreasonably high pricing, we face another one. The problem is finding a trusted web-shop that will provide you with the best choice as well as good customer support. Also it is so easy to be mistaken and order a replica, but not a real branded item. Having made a research, I managed to find several online designer clothing stores that are sure to satisfy every requirement for a good online apparel store. Please, see the best from the list:

Fashion Remix
Style’n’Chic
Forever Fashion

The mentioned stores offer the latest collections of TOP brands considered acknowledged fashion leaders and trendsetters. Moreover, the customer service is prompt and responsive and the sipping is fast and secure.
If you wish to be dressed according to the latest fashion trends, buying online can be a good option for you.
