So much so that after we separated, I allowed him back into my life only to find his abuse had reached a level in which he was now open and bold about it. It was painful but being alone for over two years taught me more about myself than I had learned all those years as someone's other. When I stopped praying for him to change and started praying for peace, God removed him completely from my life. I can finally say that I now know what a normal, healthy relationship looks like and cannot wait for the next phase of our lives.
