Pampering Yourself on a Budget

Part of looking good in whatever you wear is feeling good. That's why I always like to take some TLC time for myself. That doesn't necessarily mean you have to go and spend big bucks on a facial or a massage every weekend (we all know we are trying to save money here). There are so many things you can do to have your own at-home spa on a budget. It's also a great way to unwind from a long (hectic) week at work. Here are some things you can do with items that might already be in your kitchen:

* Give your face some lovin' with a honey facial. Simply wash your face, towel it dry and apply honey all over. Leave it for 15-20 minutes and wash it off with warm water. Your face will be left feeling silky smooth. I tried it myself and it also reduced the size of my pores. Just make sure you pick up your hair in a pony tail or wear a shower cap.

*A good way to exfoliate dry skin is by combining plain, unflavored yogurt, oatmeal and honey. Yogurt is a natural collagen stimulant because it contains alpha hydroxy acids. Dab it all over your face and leave it on for at least 10 minutes. Then wash it off with cool water.

* I love love love bubble baths. It's sooo relaxing. Light up some votive candles, put on some relaxing music and soak. If I don't have bubble bath I sometimes use shampoo and that does the trick too. You can also skip the bubbles and add some Chamomile Tea Bags to a hot bath. It's very soothing.

* If you have dry hair, simply massage some Extra Virgin Olive Oil or Jojoba oil in your scalp before washing your hair. Cover it up with a shower cap and leave it on for about 15 minutes, then wash your hair as normal. Olive oil helps moisturize and add some shine to your hair. There are many hair products that include olive oil in it such as Frederick Fekkai's Glossing Shampoo.

Do you have any at-home spa treatments that you do and love? Then be sure to share it with us....we always love hearing about cheap and easy ways we can pamper ourselves. Be sure to give yourself some pampering...you deserve it!

* Just be sure you aren't allergic to any of these products before trying it out*
