Carmen Ordonez is leading fashion, lifestyle and beauty on-air expert, TV personality, spokesperson and founder behind Viva Fashion, a website for fashionistas on a budget. She has appeared in several media outlets including The New York Times, The Style Network, Univision, People Style Watch, CNN en Espanol, MSN Latino, People en Espanol, NBC, FOX, Marie Claire, Cosmopolitan for Latinas, Fashion TV, Telemundo and is a regular guest on Univision's Despierta America, the #1 National Spanish-language morning show in the U.S., and Telemundo's Un Nuevo Dia, where she shares her practical fashion advice.
Launched in 2008, Viva Fashion was one of the first budget fashion blogs aimed to target acculturated Latinas and features the latest in fashion on a budget, style tips, beauty and lifestyle. She was also recently named a winner of the "Next Generation Latina" award by LATINA Magazine and MasterCard and a "Top 5 High/Low Style Blogger" by People StyleWatch Magazine. She was also named a Top 10 Latina Beauty Blogger and a Top 25 Fashion Influencer by LATINA Magazine (alongside Sofia Vergara and Nina Garcia). You can also find her fashion advice on Vista Magazine, a national bilingual publication, part of ImpreMedia where she has a monthly fashion column and motherhood tips on DisneyBaby.com. She is also a Miami Correspondent for Cosmopolitan TV's show called "Tan Cosmo" where she helps answer viewers' questions on what to wear in the segment Dress Code.
Prior to launching Viva Fashion, Carmen worked as an entertainment and fashion reporter for a live Spanish-language news magazine show in Miami, Florida. Today she is a sough-after spokesperson and works as a spokesperson for brands such as T.J. Maxx, Marshalls, ZYRTEC, Crocs and LOFT to name a few. She was also one of 70 Latina bloggers invited to The White House in May of 2012.
Her goal is to empower women through fashion, teaching them they don't have to spend a million to look like a million and travels across the U.S. participating in conferences and speaking engagements. She is currently working on her first book.
Carmen graduated with a Bachelors of Science Degree in Broadcast Journalism from Florida International University and currently resides in Miami, Florida with her husband, toddler son and her 2 dogs.
