One of our readers asks: "In 3 weeks I will fly to Miami/Ft. Lauderdale from Germany. Can you recommend me shops? Two years ago I was at the Galleria Mall."
VF: Hi there. That's very exciting that you will be in Miami. Regarding shops, one of my favorites is Sawgrass Mills Malls. It's one of the largest malls in South Florida (with 350 stores) and, better yet, it's an Outlet Mall, so you'll be sure to find some really great deals. They have stores ranging from Forever21 to high-end stores like Barney's, Tory Burch and Prada. One of my favorite stops while I'm there is the Coach Factory store. I once bought a Coach purse for under $100 bucks. Just be sure to take comfortable walking shoes...because you'll be doing tons of walking!
I also really like Aventura Mall. It's right in the middle of both Miami and Ft. Lauderdale. This one is not an outlet mall, but you'll still find a lot of great stores and deals. Some of my favorite stores are Zara, Anthropologie and Banana Republic.
If you're looking for a mix of stores plus shopping and dinning, I would also suggest City Place in West Palm Beach. It's about a 25-30 minute drive from Ft. Lauderdale. It's an outdoor mall with great stores, dinning and entertainment. I'm sure you would love it too. And while you're there you can take a quick ride over to Worth Avenue. They have uber expensive shops (It's personally out of my budget to shop there lol) but it's great for people watching and they have charming cafes.

I´m back in Germany. Ans I have a sooo great trip. Florida is so wonderful. Unfortunatly we don´t have much time. I was in Saw Grass Mill (so great), at the Galleria Mall again, and in differnet little Shops in Ft. Lauderdale and at Marshalls.
