Favorite Moments of 2012.....

December 31, 2012

Wow....2012 has been such an amazing year. From collaborating with new brands to being featured in the NewYork Times, I really am so grateful for everything that has happened. Before we ring in 2013, thought I'd take a look back at some of my favorite moments of the year. I can't thank you enough for your support. Hope you have a very Happy New Year filled with love and health.

In 2012, I partnered with David's Bridal to become their Hispanic and Budget Fashion spokesperson.
As their spokesperson I got to work on exciting projects such as doing TV segments on CNN en Espanol, NBC, Univision and Telemundo. I also hosted events, twitter parties and wrote for their blog. Working with them has been a dream collaboration and I'm excited to share that I signed on to be their spokesperson in 2013!

In March 2012, I was invited to be a keynote speaker for an event with Citibank and their women employees. I had the opportunity to speak to a group of 300 women about dressing for their body type, shopping on a budget and building confidence.

After speaking at Citibank, I knew this was something I was really passionate about. So I decided to team up with one of my blogging besties, Flor de Maria from Flor de Maria Fashion (who had also hosted fashion seminars) to launch Fashion Forward Latinas, a series of workshops to help empower women through fashion.

Pretty crazy seeing my picture inside T.J. Maxx stores for their Style Scout campaign.

In 2012,  I continued working with a brand I love so much, T.J. Maxx and Marshalls. This year, aside from working as a spokesperson and doing TV segments for the brand, I was also part of their Style Scout and Marshalls Fabulous Found Fashion Tour campaign...they were so much fun!

I was invited along with a group of 70 Latina Bloggers to the White House for an exclusive briefing on issues affecting the Hispanic community.

Being interviewed for a story on Latina fashion bloggers on Univision's Despierta America.

In 2012, I got to work with another really cool brand, Microsoft. As a spokesperson for the brand, I hosted a weekend event for them and a group of lifestyle and fashion reporters in Miami. I also did some really fun web videos and blog posts (you can check them out HERE).

Featured in the New York Times!

People StyleWatch Magazine

One of the most exciting things this year was being featured in The New York Times (you can read the full story HERE) as well being featured in an article on "5 Best High-Low Style Bloggers" in People StyleWatch magazine.

I was so humbled and honored to have found out I was a winner of LATINA Magazine's "Next Generation Latina" award. LATINA Magazine and MasterCard chose 10 women from around the country with inspiring stories of strength and philantrophy, who embraced their Latina roots while giving back to the community. A special award luncheon was held in New York City and although I couldn't travel, my beautiful momma (4th from the left) was there to accept the award on my behalf.

By far, my favorite moment of 2012 was finding out in May that my husband and I were expecting! After nearly 6 years of being married we decided it was finally time to expand our "pack" (as my husband calls it lol). We feel so blessed and grateful to God for giving us the best gift of all. And in less than 3 weeks we hope to welcome our bundle of joy!

We have more exciting collaborations in the works for 2013, which I can't wait to share with you. In the meantime, here's to 2013!

Cheers.
