Latina pop singer and actress, Thalia, looked stunning on the Premio Lo Nuestro red carpet last week. We caught up with her makeup, Claudia Betancur, who teaches us how she created her look and how you can get it at home too!
INSPIRATION: To compliment the bright, long gorgeous gown designed by Alexander McQueen, I decided to use the same color inspiration for Thalia's face. With coral lips, soft romantic eyes, and a golden peach glow on her cheeks, Thalia looked effortlessly chic and right on trend with a clean, fresh take on red carpet glamour.
STEP 1: To contour Thalia’s cheekbones, I applied L’Oréal Paris Visible Lift Color Lift Blush in Nude Lift ($12.95) under the cheekbone and L’Oréal Paris Visible Lift Color Lift Blush in Peach Gold Lift ($12.95) on the apple of the cheek to add freshness to the look.
STEP 1: Creating a soft smoky eye, I blended the lightest and darkest shades of L’Oréal Paris Colour Riche Eye Shadow Quad in Pefume ID ($7.95). I used the lightest shade on the brow bone and inner corners of the eyes to highlight and placed the darkest brown shade along the lash line for definition. To finish it off, I blended the shadow to create depth.
STEP 3: I then used a black liner to define the lash line and smudged it out, on both the top and bottom lids. I finished the eye with a couple coats of Telescopic Shocking Extensions Mascara in Blackest Black ($9.95) to create long, lush lashes.
STEP 4: To subtly complement Thalia’s coral dress, I first applied a coat of L’Oréal Paris Colour Caresse by Colour Riche Luminous Lipcolour in Sheer Linen ($9.99) and then layered L’Oréal Paris Colour Caresse Wet Shine Stain by Colour Riche in Endless Red ($9.99) for a bit of sheen on the nude lip.
