Last weekend I had a little BBQ with the fam to celebrate my birthday. We have a tradition with my husband's family where we always go out to a restaurant to celebrate each others birthdays. This time around, I wanted to skip the restaurant and instead have a little get together at our house. Our son is 15 months-old, so as you can imagine his patience at restaurants is very limited (we're working on it!) I really didn't want to feel pressured to eat my meal like I was in an eating contest! Instead, we had a great time grilling some churrasco, hot dogs and playing in the backyard.
The get together was planned very last-minute, so I made a quick dash to Target to buy some party supplies. Blogger, Oh Joy! currently partnered with Target to create this ADORABLE line. Some of the items were already sold out in the store, but I was able to leave with a pitcher, ice bucket, paper plates, cups and utensils. The colors are so fresh and perfect not just for birthdays, but perhaps a garden party or even a bridal or baby shower. I can't wait to host another get together so I can bring these pieces out again.
