Beauty: How to Get This Look with Make-Up Artist "MJ"

A few months ago I had the opportunity to work with the very talented make-up artist Maria Jose Delmoral aka "MJ" during a video shoot with Cosmopolitan TV.  I received several emails on how to get this look and so I reached out to "MJ" and she was so gracious to take time out of her busy schedule to give us a step-by-step on how she created this look on me. I absolutely loved it, especially how she played with pink tones (something I had never done before). I'm definitely going to make a trip to the store this weekend and buy everything she used haha. The best part is she uses makeup products that won't break the bank, from L'Oreal to CoverGirl to Pantene. Here's how you can get this look and don't forget to check her out at www.mjmakeupartist.com.

It is all about enhancing our features with little touches! To create Carmen’s soft waves I used Conair Infinity curling iron, it quickly produces uniformed curls and its ceramic plates help reduce frizz. Then, I apply a few drops of Pantene Smooth serum with Argan Oil to separate the waves.

I love creating Natural Makeup looks with earth and pink tones Earth tones really accentuate the eyes and pinks create that healthy look that we are all looking for. This is how I created Carmen's natural look with very easy steps:

Step 1.  To get a natural but glowing look I prepared her skin with a L'Oreal Magic Lumi Primer.  Her skin is very healthy so I  blended just a few drops of L'oreal True Match Foundation N4.

Step 2. For her eyes, I used Chanel Demure eye shadows, pink for her eyelids and chocolate for her crease and eyebrows. Then, I created a soft and smudged line on the top and bottom eyelash using Urban Decay 24/7 Eye Pencil.

Step 3.  Who says you can't get a natural look using fake eyelashes...I have the secret Kiss Trio Lashes! They come in different lengths (x-short, short and medium) so you can place them following the eye shape.

Step 4.  Next, I added Cover Girl’s 385 Feline lipstick. The finishing touches! Bombshell Mascara from Cover Girl, Rose Cheeks using Mac Peony Petal &  Urban Decay's Makeup setting Spray.

And there you have, Four simple steps to create this look. Thanks so much MJ for creating this look!
