Getting Personal: Faith Can Move Mountains

September 11, 2015

Hi guys, it's been a while since I've shared with you what's been going on with our battle with cancer. As some of you may know, in December 2014 my husband, Fernando was diagnosed with Stage 4 stomach cancer that had spread to his peritoneum.  It was devastating news for the entire family, especially since he's been so healthy his entire life.

He underwent 6 rounds of chemotherapy and when they did a PetScan back in March it came back negative. But a few weeks later, after they did an endoscopy, they found out that the cancer never really went away. The cancer was still in his stomach.

Since then his cancer has progressed and has spread again. We've spent the past 2 1/2 weeks in the hospital where he is getting around the clock pain medication. I won't go into too much detail here, but you can read more about it here.

These past months have been the hardest, darkest months of my entire life (even more so for my husband). My heart breaks seeing him like this, but somehow God manages to give us the strength to continue. We continue to trust God, knowing there's nothing impossible for him.

I wanted to share this with you to ask you for a HUGE favor. Will you please pray for him? I strongly believe in the power of prayer. We believe in miracles!

He's going to start a new immunotherapy drug today, so please pray that God will use it and has put in in our path for a reason. Please pray for his complete healing.

We continue to trust that this will all be to glorify God.

xx,
Carmen
