Getting Holiday Ready with Target

This post is brought to you in collaboration with Monticello Street and Target.

I love any reason to get glammed up, mainly because I work from home and those times are very few and far between (pretty much only when I have an event or a TV segment). That’s why I absolutely LOVE the holidays. Between family get-togethers, Noche Buena and New Year’s Eve, it’s the perfect time to add some glam to my look.

I’m so excited to collaborate with Target to take on their challenge to create a holiday-inspired look. To help me get started, I received this box filled with goodies and beauty tips from the host of Univision’s Despierta America (and friend of mine), Ana Patricia Gamez.

Here are some of her tips along with my twist on a holiday look.

To start, I wanted to go for a more natural and glowing holiday look. This Pixi Palette Rossette in ‘Rosy Radiance’ is AMAZING. I added the ‘cheek blush’ to the apples of my cheeks and then added the ‘all-over glow’ to my face. It created that dewy, healthy look that I love.

Next up, I also filled in my eyebrows using the ‘brow’ shade in a medium brown and then smudged it with my finger.

Finally, for the lips I used this lip color from the Sonia Kashuk line called ‘Sheer Pink Lust.’ I had been looking for a lip color in this shade for the longest time. It adds the perfect amount of color to your lips, yet looks natural.

Most importantly, don’t forget to always take off your make-up each night. Ana Patricia recommends keeping make-up removing wipes on your nightstand, especially for those nights when we don’t have the energy for a full evening beauty routine.

Oh and don’t forget to also take advantage of Target’s 10 Days of Deals to take 25% off beauty purchases on Tuesday, November 22nd. It's a great opportunity to save on brands like Burt's Bees, Dove, Chi, NYX and more. Check out more special beauty promotions at A Bullseye View.

Now, keeping with the holiday spirit, I’ve teamed up with a group of fabulous bloggers to create our own “Parranda.” For those of you not familiar with a Parranda (also called Posadas) it’s a hispanic holiday tradition where groups of friends (and even strangers) overtake other friend's homes celebrating with music and food.  Our twist however includes tons of beauty tips to help you get ready for the holiday season.

So now that you’re done reading this post, I invite you to hop on over to these blogging gals "homes" (blogs) for an extra dose of beauty tricks.
