VF Travels: Boca Raton Resort and Club, A Waldorf Astoria Resort Review

A few months back, I was invited on a press trip to check out the beautiful Boca Raton Resort and Club, a Waldorf Astoria Resort. It was the perfect weekend getaway, in which I also got to bring along my mom. I always say, you don't need to travel too far to disconnect. The resort is located in Boca Raton (hence the name), which is about an hour drive from Miami and has views of the Atlantic Ocean, Intracoastal Waterway and Marina. The resort itself is stunning and has a mix of elegance with old world charm.

Side note: For my reality show fans, you might also remember the resort from an episode of E!'s WAGS Miami haha.

The Room: The resort has accommodations in 4 separate buildings. And although the hotel is more than 80 years old, you would never guess from the guest rooms (which have been updated).  I love the way my room was decorated, it was simple, yet elegant with a modern touch.

The Bathroom: The bathroom was also beautiful and super clean. It featured both a rain shower head as well a a hand-held one and a soaking tub.

One of my favorite things from the hotel was the architecture and the landscape. It really didn't feel like I was in Florida, but rather somewhere in Europe. You could easily spend most of your afternoon just walking around, soaking it all in or just lounging on a chair.

My mom took advantage of this comfortable little spot.

The Spa: Ah the spa, if there's one thing I love to do while I'm away, it's to get a massage. I absolutely love them. The spa at the resort didn't disappoint. It was actually voted one of the top spas in the country by Condé Nast Traveler (dang!). The highlight of my massage was definitely the ritual bath. It also has a sauna, steam room, jacuzzi, shower, plunge pool and hot tub. If you're staying at the resort, I highly recommend you don't leave without visiting the spa.

The Food: The resort has a plethora of yummy restaurants. After our massage we grabbed lunch in the lounge area and it was uh-mazing.

The Verdict: Overall, if you are visiting Boca Raton or perhaps live in South Florida and are looking for a little getaway, you can't go wrong with the Boca Raton Resort and Club.

Perfect For: The resort is perfect for a romantic getaway, girls trip and for sports enthusiasts (did we mention there's an 18-hole golf course!)
