Cape San Blas...

I just got back yesterday from my week-long trip to Cape San Blas (known as Florida's Forgotten Coast) and it was so much fun. My husband and I enjoyed lounging on the beach, kayaking, snorkeling and indulging on seafood (tons of seafood).  Since we were traveling with our dogs, we ended up renting a house near the beach, which my husband found on a website called Pristine Properties (great site if you're ever looking for vacation home rentals). He's always great at finding these hidden places I've never even heard of. There were also tons of great places to eat. One of my favorites was called Joe Mama's, which had New York style pizza. It was a good break from eating seafood everyday.

Overall it was great to just relax and wake up not knowing what day it was. At times, we didn't even know what time it was, you see, Cape San Blas is on Eastern Time, but if you drive about 10 minutes away you were on Central Time. We didn't figure that out until later, and were so confused as we kept looking at our cell phone watch and it would keep changing times (kinda like we were in the twilight zone). I also probably became three shades darker from all the sun I got (and that was with wearing 70 SPF daily!)  Anywho, I'm excited to share with you some pictures of our trip.  How was your fourth of July weekend? I'd love to hear all about it.

{Grabbing some pizza at Joe Mama's which was voted Top 10 pizzas in the U.S. --their tomatoes are imported from Italy and it was probably one of the best pizzas I've had along with Lombardi's in NY--delish!}

  3. Hi Jo... Scrappy is a Beagle. He's actually 4 years old, but people think he's a puppy all the time. I guess he never outgrew his puppy face..lol.
