Home on a Budget: Tips for Adding Some Color to Your Kitchen

From adding color to a wall to having fresh flowers in the kitchen, here are 5 simple and budget-friendly tips to brighten it up.

Place Lemons or Limes in a Bowl: Create a colorful centerpiece for your kitchen by placing lemons, limes or any other color fruit in a bowl. You can also look for other colorful accessories such as a colorful kitchen towel.

Add a Colorful Kitchen Rug: Instead of opting for a rubber mat in a plain neatural color, consider looking for one in a bright hue or a fun print. You can place it right next to your sink. Hopefully it makes doing the dishes a more pleasant experience (or maybe that would be the case if they washed themselves!)

Add Fresh Flowers or Fresh Herbs: Next time you go to the supermarket pick-up some fresh flowers for the kitchen. They help to instantley brighten up the space. You can also plant some fresh herb and place them by your window sill (if you have one). It will leave your kitchen smelling delicious too.

Add Some Color to the Walls: Adding color to the walls is always an easy way to brighten up any room. If you're color shy, try painting only one wall. Stickable Backsplashes: If you want to add some life to your backsplash, but don't have the budget, you can try looking for stickable backplashes. You simply peel and stick. You can find them at HomeDepot for as little as $7 bucks!
