3 Bra Styles Every Woman Must Own

When I was younger I very rarely invested in different styles of bras. I think I just owned one style in various different colors-- and that was it. It wasn't until later on that I realized I really needed to invest in different styles, especially since I constantly found myself trying to convert my "regular" bras into a strapless number by tucking in the straps, not a cute look at all.

Here are my 3 favorite bra styles every woman should own.

T-Shirt Bra: A t-shirt bra or an everyday bra is definitely a must. I prefer a style that's plain and provides a seamless, smooth silhouette. I also like buying them in both nude and black, which is guaranteed to go with everything in my wardrobe.  Warner's T-Shirt Bra, $38

Tip: When wearing a white tee, you want to make sure to stick to bra colors that match your skin tone. You don't want to wear a white bra with a white tee.

Finding a good strapless bra can be pretty tricky, but definitely a must-have in a woman's bra wardrobe. They go great with strapless dresses, tops and spaghetti straps and you don't have to worry about straps showing. Make sure to find one that fits snuggly. A bra that has silicone grippers on the bottom are one of my favorites, because it helps stay put. Liyette Strapless Bra, $38

Whether you're going for a walk, riding bike or working out, the last thing you want to do is get your "nice" bras sweaty. A sports bra is another must-have when it comes to bra shopping. Make sure to find one that provides plenty of support.  Adidas Sports Bra, $10

Before shopping of course, make sure to get professionally fitted. Many women end up wearing the wrong bra size and nothing can be more uncomfortable than a bra that doesn't fit right. If you're a little shy about getting measured at the store (sometimes it can be a bit awkward) Kohl's has a cool online bra fitting tool to help you measure yourself. Here's a quick step-by-step video that shows you how to do it.

Then once you have your bra size you can start shopping. Kohl's has it organized by different styles from strapless, t-shirt, push-up, full coverage bras and much more which makes it so easy.

What are some of your bra must-haves? I also love having a sexy lacy number :)

Disclosure: This is not a sponsored post, however I did receive a gift card from Kohl's to assist with my bra shopping experience. All opinions as always are my own.
