My Seekender Adventure: San Diego {Part 2}

Last week, I shared with you Part I of my Seekender Adventure with Hampton by Hilton and for today's installment I'll be sharing a few things we did on our second day in San Diego. I can't say enough beautiful things about San Diego. It's such a beautiful city (with UH-Mazing weather). Part of me didn't want to leave and I was even starting to strategize ways on moving there permanently haha. There's so much to do and see.

On our second day, we got up bright and early and went downstairs to have breakfast at our hotel (gotta love that Hampton by Hilton offers free hot breakfast daily!) We then headed to the USS Midway Museum in Embarcadero (a 10 minute drive from our hotel). I'm a big museum buff and this one didn't disappoint. It's not just for kids, adults will enjoy this attraction just as much (I sure did!) It ranks up there as Top 10 things to do in San Diego.

Andy loved pretending he was a pilot. He called this one 'Dusty' (from the Disney movie Planes lol).

After our trip to the museum we visited Balboa Park, since we didn't really get to roam around on our first day when we visited the San Diego Zoo (also located in Balboa Park). The park is absolutely stunning and the 70 degree weather made it even more enjoyable.

People were hanging out in the lawn (laying down and relaxing) so we thought we'd join in as well.

After our walk/nap we visited the San Diego Natural History Museum (theNAT...a few steps away).  Balboa Park houses several other museums from the San Diego Air & Space Museum to the San Diego Museum of Art. Make sure you get there with plenty of time if you want to check all of them and look up museum hours.

Here's Andy with grandma in Balboa Park. We started getting hungry, so we grabbed a bite to eat the park in the Japanese Friendship Garden. They have delicious food.

After our eventful day, we headed back to our hotel to get some rest and get ready for another amazing day. Stay tuned next week, when I share the rest of our San Diego Seekender trip.
