My 12-Day Itinerary to Italy: Venice, Florence, Rome and the Amalfi Coast (+Downloadable Template)

As some of you might know if you follow me on Instagram, I spent 12 amazing days in Italy with my mom and son this summer. It was such a blessing to scratch off another destination from my bucket list. I guess I should start off by saying I was never really a planner when it came to traveling. My late husband would handle all the planning and I just went with the flow. For this trip, I knew it had to be different and I wanted to be extra prepared. First of all, like I mentioned, I was traveling with my mom and son, so they were pretty much relying on me to get them around.

I was also visiting in the summer, so I wanted to be extra prepared since I had heard about the horror stories of the long lines at museums and attractions. Fortunately, all my planning paid off. In fact, I even made a detailed excel document with our itinerary. Yes, totally Type A, not like me AT ALL.

For those of you planning your own trip to Italy (especially with little ones). I wanted to share with you my detailed 12-Day Italy itinerary you can download. It includes: Venice, Florence/Pisa, Rome and the Amalfi Coast. It also details what activities to do, how to get to each location, which attractions you can purchase ahead of time, as well as my notes and tips.

Some of it may appear a bit ambitious, and again, it doesn't have to be followed exactly, but I found that having a plan helped us get the most out of our trip and it was SO helpful.

I'll be writing more detailed posts on each location, along with tips and how to get around by train (oh and a travel Vlog too!) So stay tuned. In the meantime, hope you enjoy this itinerary and if you have any questions, feel free to leave me a comment below.
