Wearing White After Labor Day....

Yesterday I was invited on Univision's Al Despertar to talk about some Labor Day Fashion Do's and Don'ts with T.J. Maxx and Marshalls. These are my go-to stores for the latest in current-season, top designer brands, but without the department store price!  I shared some tips on how to wear white after Labor Day, because hey, who says we can't wear white--this Fall it's actually all about winter white. Here are some of my tips on how you can rock your white clothes and the looks that I featured on the show.

White denim is one of my favorite pieces that can be worn year-round. When wearing white in the fall or winter, make sure to pair it with seasonal fabrics, such as wool or chunky knits. You want to make sure to avoid lighter fabrics such as linen, which can seem out of place. Our model Bianca is seen here wearing a brown knit sweater available at T.J. Maxx along with white jeans and peep-toe heels available at Marshalls.

Every woman should have a white crisp button-down shirt in her closet, and come fall there's no need to put it away. To make is seasonally appropriate, pair it with some dark denim jeans and booties, like we did here with our model. The top and shoes are available at T.J. Maxx and the jeans are available at Marshalls.

After scouring the streets of Miami as a Style Scout for T.J. Maxx and Marshalls (you can check out my video here) the number one trend all Miami fashionistas were wearing was definitely maxi dresses. An easy way to transition maxi dresses from summer to fall is by adding a cardigan, like we did here on our model Brielle. Just make sure the cardigan is form fitting to avoid looking too voluminous. Orange is also another must-have color come this Fall.

The cardigan and sandals is available at Marshalls and the maxi dress is available at T.J.Maxx.
